Клонирование

Today’s technology develops so quickly that many absolutely incredible things become true; cloning technology is an example. In 1997, the whole world was deeply shocked by the great news that British scientists had created a lamb named Dolly from a single cell, which shows the first cloning experiment was perfectly successful.

When cloning technology improves so quickly, many scientists and doctors have completely different opinions, some think it is very good but others think it is really bad. Cloning can bring many benefits to humans, such as rejuvenation and help for defective genes, liver failure, kidney failure and leukemia. These diseases are enormously difficult to cure; if we use the cloning technology we can effectively change the gene’s DNA order, so we can save many people.

One of the clearly evident bonuses of cloning animals is that if you cloned seriously endangered species you could expand their populations immensely. You just need one cell of them, then use cloning technology to save the animal.

Then why are many people strongly against cloning, it is because cloning still has some problems. The scientists found that the cloned animal’s gene is a little different from the original animal. So its life will significantly shorter than the donor’s life. The fact that the cloned sheep Dolly has died completely proves this fact. She only had half the life of the common sheep.
