Lindsey had been searching for ages when she finally found the perfect suit to wear to her interview. Not only did it fit her perfectly, but it made her look incredibly professional. No sooner had she gone to the cashier to pay for the suit when, to her dismay, she realized that it was flawed – there was a large stain on the back of the jacket, and a button missing from one of the cuffs. “Excuse me,” she asked the woman at the cash register, “do you have another suit like this?” “I’m sorry,” the saleslady answered, “but we only just sold the only other suit like that one. There are no more left in the store.” Lindsey felt so upset. “Maybe I should just buy this damaged suit,” she thought to herself. Minus the missing button and the stain, it looked perfect.
